Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Jabber

I support and troubleshoot the problems faced by the users those who use Cisco Jabber phone to communicate various requirements to their clients. Cisco Jabber is a softphone that is used for inbound and outbound calling as well can be used for conference and call transfer. While troubleshooting i normally came accross various issues like phone is not able to connect to the server, also observed issue related to conference call. Cisco Jabber communicate to the call manager and their by call manager manages the routing and calling search space and where and how the call will get routed. Sometimes the new users follow incorrect method of login or the format of login is incorrect then also the phone unable to connect to the server. It communicates through TFTP.

  • x version of Cisco Jabber normally gets hangs sometimes in windows 11
  • Theres compatibility issue in some jabber version and OS version. Mostly the older version of Cisco Jabber like 11.x works better in windows 10 or less than in 11
  • It has positive impact on buisness in respect to Ease of use
  • More user friendly no hard phones required
  • Logs can be collected easily
A hardphone is required, where there is no concept of hardphone is required in using Cisco Jabber phone, the configuration and booting up process for a jabber phone is far easy then a hard phones, in IP phones i have frequently observed this the user face the lock of the phones which need to fix by following some configuration procedure, where Cisco Jabber provides a much user friendly experience

Cisco Jabber works better in some scenarios when the agents seat idle for a long time while if we compare it with the cloud phones , if the user remain idle for a long time then the user has a chance to face missed call issue and webrtc error issue, where in Cisco Jabber phone no such issue can be seen even if the agents seats idle after login to phone.
