Cisco jabber used to communicate and collaborate securely and with internal users in the organisation. This also allows the users to be more productive from anywhere across the globe from any devices.
it gives instant messaging, voice and video calls, desktop sharing and conferencing and also presence information.
It also suits for mid-size and large environments.

Pros and Cons

Anywhere access with secure communication
Conferencing works very well
Access the app directly from MS office applications to initiate the chat
Soft-phone feature gives more flexibility

Call back function does not work as expected and need solutions for improvement
Call forwarding option is not feasible for the unregistered user
Voicemail functions does not work properly though the users has license

Return on Investment

From the Operations perspective it reduces the overall cost
Integration is simple and no need to go with third party software
limiting the costs of business travel and phone charges using a single tool

Cisco jabber is mostly used in the organisation where they use the Cisco IP phones to replace with soft-phones. It is used for both on-premises and Cloud based deployments. Since, most of the users connects remotely, security is high priority to establish the secure communications and Cisco jabber suites well. Telephony integration enables to use computer-processing functions while making, receiving and managing telephone calls.
