Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki Go

We actually have been using it at home replacing our previous Meraki set up. We also use it as recommended set up for SMBs we also support as well since it is a great use case in single site setup with basic VPN etc needs. The fact is has a lot of the same features as Meraki Enterprise, as well as being app and website accessible too helps a lot.
  • Ease of configuration
  • Deployment
  • Management
  • Remote access
  • App performance lag
  • Swag
  • Lower cost on Wifi6, there's a massive jump in price for that hardware
  • Lowers TCO vs Enterprise for those who need to save money in SMB market
  • Able to transition and support Meraki and Merkai Go with little change or adjustment
  • Great in home and SMB, ROI is very quick
We were able to set up, deploy and manage for various clients now that they had added guest support or multiple user support for it (initially was one app, one user) so we can recommend and support from an SMB/MSP side without the customers having to get full blown Meraki Enterprise.
Since Webex and their suite of Calling, Messaging and Meetings is really flexible, we have paired that with Meraki Go for those who need a "single number" to reach them anywhere/any time on or offsite, so for an SMB and/or home office, it pairs really well with Meraki Go.
Can't give it a 9 or 10 as it is scalable but after a point you need to scale to Enterprise vs Go. It is great but again limited to more SMB and/or home use vs a full blown enterprise, at that point you need full Meraki not just Go.
Was trying to add Dell Aerohive and Unifi as well but it couldn't find those. We had tried out Meraki, Meraki Go, Aerohive, Aruba and Unifi and ended up with the single site use case going with Meraki Go for ease of use/deployment as well as low cost vs Meraki. In general it was also easier to use and still low cost vs all the other products too. If you need to scale much higher, then go Meraki Enterprise, but if it's home/SMB ... go with Meraki Go for fast startup, low cost and ease of use.

Do you think Cisco Meraki Go delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Meraki Go's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Meraki Go live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Meraki Go go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Meraki Go again?

Yes

Single site where wifi and wired connections are needed with on site and remote support needed. Possibly also VPN access. Or as we use it, at home for better management of network, guest access for family, for visitors and also content filtering to keep everyone safe too. They keep adding features so there may be more just added or upcoming I might have missed. It's probably not best for larger multi site businesses but small single or dual site with VPN it works awesomely.

Using Cisco Meraki Go

12 - We use it in an SMB home/office setup. We had Meraki prior but it was overkill for what we were using as a home office setup (MX, MS and 2 MRs) so when Meraki Go come out we replaced it with that as it was a perfect fit. Similar hardware and functions just less cost in comparison in an SMB market.
1 - I am highly technical but with Meraki Go you really don't need to be to get it set up or manage. The app and now webpage to manage makes it very simple to do what you want.
  • Connectivity
  • Wifi
  • Security
  • Replace Meraki "enterprise"
  • Split home, guest and SMB networks
  • Splashpage disclaimer for guest network
  • Bandwidth allocation depending on network
  • Added filtering
  • Newer Go has VPN
It's just as easy to use as Meraki but a perfect fit for home and SMB. It's a no-brainer.
