Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki SM

We use Cisco Meraki SM to manage mobile devices across the organization for all the businesses that make up the restaurant group. Practically every department is using it at some level. Cisco Meraki SM has solved many problems for us including, asset management, access policies, software updates, deployments, and more. It is very flexible and robust and we use it for both Apple, Android, and Windows devices.
  • We can create templates for our mobile devices that make new hardware deployments a breeze.
  • Pushing out new with Apple Business Manager is easy and efficient.
  • We get tons of real-time information on our devices and useful historical information and logs.
  • Kiosk and Single App mode is great for single purpose tablets.
  • Sometimes there can be delays in pushing out a new configuration and the device reacting.
  • A "remote in" feature for iPads would be great.
  • SM per device license costs can add up, I would like se a flat rate or bulk rate.

We have seen a lot of benefits from Cisco Meraki SM's ease of deployment and management. The Meraki Sales Team and engineers were very helpful in presenting the product to us in a way that was tailored to our needs and problems. They provided trial licenses for us to test out the product and answered all of our questions. We were able to get it up and running quickly and build the templates and profiles we needed using their Documentation and Support Team.
SM was a great addition to our Cisco Meraki stack. Works seamlessly with all other Meraki products. Wifi connectivity without user intervention is fantastic and a real-time saver. End-to-end security is a huge benefit as well. I recommend the SM component if you are using a Meraki stack.
Cisco Meraki is built for scalability. It is very easy to add hardware and new topologies. My only complaint would be that it can be a bit pricey once you get into the Enterprise level product portfolio. I would like to see SM license prices come down the more you buy or some sort of flat rate for large deployments.
We were already Cisco Meraki customers so it was a logical step to use their SM product. That said, we did compare to other vendors and we are happy with our choice. Integration and ease of deployment was a big factor. While some competitors could offer lower costs, the benefits of keeping our SM platform in the Meraki environment outweighed that.
If you have an enterprise environment with a lot of iPads, Cisco Meraki SM is a great value for money solution with a ton of features and great support from the Meraki team.
