Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki Wireless Access Point

It is being used for wireless mesh networking company-wide for when users complain of slow network and/or weak wifi signals.
  • Ease of use and set-up.
  • Single pane of glass for network management.
  • Ability to set-up prior to having physical hardware.
  • Ability to deploy at remote site locations without an IT presence.
  • Intuitive user interface.
  • Granular/advance settings require tech support.
  • Locked into a subscription model. No ability to make changes if out of the subscription.
  • Downgrading firmware for troubleshooting can be a bit of work.
  • No need for a dedicated network support person.
  • Ability to set up multiple SSIDs for development machines cuts down networking hardware for testing.
  • Cuts down cost on using 3rd-party monitoring software.
Great customer service, sales and support.
Great UI.
No on-prem management server necessary.
Better hardware.
Ability to open support cases within the UI. Quick response time and very knowledgeable techs.

Great for small IT shops where you don't need a network engineer to set up a mesh network and go. Great for setting a wifi network where you don't have any IT support techs. Set it up remotely and send the APs to the site, anybody can plug it into the network and you're set.
