Nexus 9000 Series

Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Nexus

This is our core datacenter switch, and all our traffic routes through it for internal and external traffic. We have it installed as a dual switch, so we have redundancy and a backplane between the two switches. We use copper and fiber connections to get the best throughput possible out of it.
  • Handling multiple VLANs
  • Security and segmentation of traffic
  • Fiber and copper connections
  • Cost is high
  • Configuration can be lengthy
  • Reduced downtime
  • Higher throughput
  • Redundancy

Would you buy Cisco Nexus Series Switches again?

It is a leader in data center switches, and I would say it is needed for any large enterprises to handle the traffic throughput that they would need. Also, Cisco support is the best out there and is always very helpful in hardware or software issues and well worth the extra cost.
