Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Nexus
We run a typical 3 tiered infrastructure. The Nexus line of switches is ideal for Core, Distribution 7 server farm. We have the 9500s as our Core with 9300s for distribution and our server farm.
- Scalable
- Reliable
- Easy to support.
- They should be support with DNAC.
- We had to buy additional NGA switches to support NetFlow.
- We expected the switches to provide ROI and they did as advertised.
- NX-OS was pretty similar to IOS so the learning curve was pretty low.
- Being a Non-Profit we need to be extremely cost conscience and buy gear that has a long shelf life. Nexus line of switches met this objective.
- Brocade ADX (Discontinued)
Being a long time (and certified) Cisco guy I was tasked with moving our Data Center and had the opportunity to upgrade. I reviewed the existing Brocade infrastructure but choose to replace it with the Cisco Data Center Nexus line of switches. Someone once told me "no one ever got fired for buying Cisco products".
