Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Routers

  • Cisco ISR 1000 Series
  • Cisco ISR 4000 Series
They are used for our perimeter devices.
  • Tons of features are there for testing in a lab.
  • Can survive through most anything. 140 degrees in Iraq and it made it.
  • There are cheaper routers out there.
  • When it’s a new feature you want and you paid up front it is really nice to just turn it on and go.
Compatibility is huge. We want to integrate TrustSec and StealthWatch.
As in the previous answer ISE and StealthWatch along with switches will be a big help if they integrate as well as claimed.
I’ll juat say I hate FortiNet.
FortiGate does not integrate well even by themselves
For branch sites a FortiGate that is much cheaper will get the job done. Management who is spending the money doesn’t really care if it makes it a challenge to administer.
