They're used across the entire organization for VoIP purposes. The entire company has made the shift from POTS thanks to Cisco routers.
- HDLC encapsulation
- AAA management
- More intuitive commands for upgrading firmware
- Frees us from needing to use a separate provider for POTS
Yes, we tried to stick with Cisco products as to avoid any potential interoperability with different platforms.
We have basic security set up on the routers, but we rely on other products such as Palo Alto for most of our security needs.
Cisco Routers are the only ones I've used at this point. I've had no issues with continuous access to applications and data.
I've only used Cisco Routers.
