Overall Satisfaction with Cisco UCS Series

We use Cisco UCB Series for voice and voicemail services. We would like to use them for remote worker services and integration with emergency alert systems.
  • QOS
  • MOH
  • License Management
  • Ease of Management
  • Disaster Recovery with Publisher and Subscriber
  • Great access to Network services for Publisher and Subscriber
  • The MWI has intermittent false positives
  • Reports are not easily customizable on older versions
  • vLan configuration can be cumbersome
  • One negative is not being able to ascertain ROI with the new licensing procedure
  • The Publisher and Subscriber model is great for disaster recovery
Scalability was one factor in choosing Cisco UCS Series. We also have Dell servers, but for a different purpose than Voice over IP.
With a small IT team, the Cisco UCS Series allows for ease of management by a few individuals. It is really easy configuring a new phone for a new user. We looked at a system that required phones to be shipped as needed, which would be time-consuming for new employees.
Yes. The original configuration was complex, but managing them afterwards was pretty convenient
