Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Umbrella
I have been using Cisco Umbrella before Cisco acquired OpenDNS. It has been one of the best bang-for-your-buck products any organization can procure no matter which segment you are in. Umbrella protects us on a daily basis from thousands of malware and ransomware-related issues. The reporting features are also extremely easy to use and provide a great insight into your network usage.
- DNS protection.
- Malware protection.
- Trojan detection.
- Real time dashboards.
- On premise agents could be less clunky.
- False positives.

- Reduced ransomware.
- Reduced malware issues.
- User behavior.
By leveraging the agents on the individual endpoints, users are protected even when they are not in the office. The individual agents sync back up with the Cisco server and keep their databases updated for any new malicious malware or ransomware threats. The remote branches are also connected via the Cisco Umbrella agents and provide detailed reporting.
Even though the Cisco Umbrella product integrates with other Cisco products, unfortunately, we do not use Cisco firewalls or Cisco switches. However, we use a single sign-on that allows us to be logged into the Cisco umbrella dashboard and effectively monitor any real-time threats. It is one of our top three products in our security stack. .
