Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Meetings

We use it for business. Specifically for day-to-day operations and meeting/socializing. It helps during the current pandemic. For education, we use it to move to distance learning. It helps during the current pandemic.
  • Integrations/extensibility
  • Real-time transcription, automated closed captioning, note-taking, voice commands, recorded transcripts
  • Reporting
  • For education, just offer a single app/product that will address all educational needs.
  • Able to shift day-to-day business operations effectively to remote work
  • Able to shift day-to-day education needs to remote learning
No need for support. Documentation of all the tools and features is pretty good. Some documentation is a tad old, probably a refresh of the images would be nice.
It has become substantial, again the pandemic pushed the institution to further adopt/use it.
  • LMS canvas
It was easy--good documentation is the key.
All tools are good, yet cisco offers broader extensibility and products. However, for an educational setting, I would stress that you need a single app that is fully adapted and customized for educational needs (having Meetings, Teams, Events, etc., causes confusion).
Never ever had issues setting up or attending a meeting, if it does not work, it is just a matter of closing my client and starting it again (it is probably my PC with the issue)
We had it before the pandemic, it scaled perfectly and filled other institutional needs perfectly (education, clinical setting/tele health/med)
Everything has worked well , hosting/joining meetings, doing polling, breakouts, doing attendance reporting, viewing records. Until recently I had an issue trying to download a past recording.
in regards usability and accessibility the meet or exceed the necessary standards
For an educational setting, having so many products to fulfill education needs confuses users, and Cisco Webex is only one part of the puzzle. For business use, it is perfect as it is.

Cisco Webex Experience

The new slew of features pushed out and the planned ones Cisco has for webEx meetings are GREAT

  • Real-time transcription is phenomenal and a must in a classroom setting (accessibility, ADA compliance for the education setting)
  • Having the ability to do breakout session is great, sometimes we need to split to brainstorm in groups, as well in my education instituion will benefit of this feature in the classroom setting.
  • Upcoming feature to hard mute all participants comes in handy, but now having the option to mute all participants with a push of a button is great, saves time and unnecessary background noise.
  • The refreshed UI is a welcomed extra it makes it more usable/self explained.
  • I am supper exited to get my hands on the noise suppression feature in the upcoming updates.
WebEx Teams is a great tool for team collaboration, we have our persistent spaces/teams were we can effective collaborate, meet on the fly, and share work related files. WebEx Teams has good use cases for the educational setting, we have tested and incorporated "the educational connector" with our Canvas LMS, such connector uses WebEx Meetings, Events, Teams, it is a good tools for Staff, Faculty, and Students.
The entire WebEx Meetings is a pervasive ecosystem, I have used it on web, windows, mac, Android, iOS devices, which all of them offer the same level of versatile, usability and security. All of the core feature are available across application, yet you can only get the complete set of current and new features while using a pc/mac client or the web browser.

  • lms integration
  • i think pretty much all of the institutional needs are being met and surpassed by cisco WebEx
If it were for me we would keep using WebEx meetings indefinitely.
My institution (IT, clinical, and provost departments have the final say)

Evaluating Webex Meetings and Competitors

  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
  • Prior Experience with the Product
  • Vendor Reputation
Vendor Reputation, Cisco probably runs half or more of the internet infrastructure, they are the one of the best (if not the best) networking companies of the glove, the resilience and quality of WebEx meetings was tested during this pandemic.
Before the pandemic we had WebEx at our institution and was underutilized, we were lucky we had WebEx and we still continue to do so, it has scaled pretty well to meet our institutional needs. Luckily we had no involvement to evaluate and select a conferencing solution, we had luck that our institution already selected the best.

Webex Meetings Support

I have never had issues with WebEx, and when requesting support it has only been to provided training to our institution, or to implement new features (ex: LMS integration)
