Overall Satisfaction with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
We use Citrix as our preferred VDI solution to provide managed desktop to end users. With CItrix you get a complete siolution from Citrix gateways to the Application publishing which makes it easier to manage rather than having seperate thirdpary products, which can be quite challenging to manage and update from time to time.

- The configuration is a bit complicated and we have hired Citrix administrators. But it's a good solution.
- User profiles need improvement. They could use more stability and more functionality as well as user profile redirection.

- We need a lot fewer people with different capabilities to manage many third-party products.

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops was our pick because of the low infrastructure requirements. With Vmware, you need compatible hardware to run ESXi and then a machine to run the vCenter Server and free other machines to run horizon view, app, policies, etc which can get expensive and complicated if you are planning to have an on-prem solution.
