Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

We previously used ClickUp for project management and timekeeping. Then we moved the timekeeping into a payroll system and continued using ClickUp for project management. It made project management so much easier for our team. We could create tasks from our email, assign to the correct individual, use ClickUp for meeting agendas, and so much more. It really kept us on task and we knew that if we didn't have a task in ClickUp with a date, it very likely couldn't get done. We even used its automation capabilities to build an onboarding automation that cut down the time it took to onboard new hires. ClickUp is simply amazing.
  • Project management
  • Time management
  • Automations
  • Sometimes the timekeeping feature would glitch and being that it was something we needed for payroll, that was very problematic.
  • It would not integrate with our payroll system so that made payroll for us a very manual process.
  • I'm not sure how to quantify it but the new hire onboarding automation that we built within ClickUp saved so much manual work with teams not needing to reach out again and again over email or through Slack to ask where a task was in the project timeline. Everyone could just go to ClickUp to see where it stood on the timeline. It likely saved us hours and reduced redundant work.
On my team of 3 people, it helped us collaborate better because we knew clearly which tasks were assigned to the different members of the team as well as the due dates and it really kept us on task. We were also able to communicate within each task, keeping us from spending time bouncing back and forth to Slack for communication. We liked that was an all in one tool.
The automation that I mentioned earlier was used by multiple teams, as there were 3 teams involved in onboarding new hires. We previously were reliant on email and Slack for communication about the tasks involved but once the automation was in place, it helped everyone see where tasks were in the overall process and who was responsible for the current step.
ClickUp has more features, which can be overwhelming but I find that you can make it work the way you need to make it work. Trello and Asana are more simple so some people might like that better but you can use ClickUp just like you use Trello or Asana and then you have the benefit of all of the other features, so ClickUp is the clear winner.

ClickUp is well suited to all sizes of businesses and teams from micro businesses to large corporate organizations. I even use it for personal tasks. Anyone who needs to manage tasks can find a use for ClickUp. It's even perfect for social media planning. It helps teams see who is responsible for which tasks. It keeps the project lead aware of timelines and deadlines as well as where there might be bottlenecks in the process.
