Overall Satisfaction with Cloud Elements

Our software is focused on helping marketing and content teams streamline the process of content planning and production. These teams often leverage cloud storage providers like Dropbox, Box or Google Drive to store and share their content assets internally, or with third-party creative partners/agencies. We chose to leverage Cloud Elements' Document Cloud to seamlessly integrate all those storage services into our application with one single endpoint. This integration enabled our development team to get multiple connections established all at once and we don't have to worry about keeping up with the variety of API/maintenance updates that each service would require. For our clients, this integration helps to improve collaboration and version control so they can collaborate and produce more efficiently and actually hit their content deadlines...;)
  • Ease of integration - Our dev team had no problems getting the integration up and running quickly.
  • Support - CE's support team is very responsive and they do a nice job of communicating if/when any issues arise on their end.
  • Not a huge investment - There is obviously a cost associated with the usage of their service, but since they handle all the maintenance of the various service-provider endpoints, we are saving dev resources constantly.
  • We did have to do some custom work to create a better user experience when interfacing with CE's Document Cloud. The Document Cloud service doesn't come equipped with a file browser out-of-the-box, and their recommended plugin was pretty rough. We had to do quite a bit of work to get it up to par with our user experience standards.
  • CE's Document Cloud has played a key role in helping us expand the value of our offering.
I feel that Cloud Elements is a great service for startups or smaller tech companies who are looking to expand their integrations quickly and looking to minimize the dev overhead that comes with maintaining all these integrations separately.
