Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cohesity Helios allows for centralized administration and visibility of all of an organization's Cohesity clusters, both on-prem and cloud. It provides the "single pane of glass" that every technology company talks about but rarely fully delivers. Being able to see the status and alerts for every cluster, or even a single cluster, within the organization is a big plus. And if something is alerting, you can go into that cluster's management to gather more detail.

Contract Terms and Pricing Model

Cohesity Helios was included with our Cohesity DataPlatform purchase. The pricing to refresh our backup and software with Cohesity was less than our annual backup software renewal from our previous solution.

Likelihood to Recommend

Cohesity Helios really shines when an organization has multiple Cohesity clusters (on-prem and/or cloud) by allowing administrators to centrally manage and monitor them. When an organization only has a single cluster, it probably makes more sense to just manage and monitor the cluster directly, but you will still get value from Helios, such as ransomware alerts, and mobile app visibility.
