Overall Satisfaction with Constant Contact

We predominantly use Constant Contact for our mass emailing campaigns. The product allows us to reach more people than other products on the market. We are able to segment our audience into regions and divide them among our sales guys. This way, we are able to connect sales with their target market and make sure customized content goes out to each region.
  • Market segmentation is great: my main segmentation is by region because that's how our sales team is divided.
  • Lists: making customized email lists is easy and intuitive; the custom fields allow some flexibility in case our fields don't exactly line up with Constant Contact's.
  • Campaigns: creating campaigns is quick and simple. I especially appreciate the 'resend to non-openers' option. I am constantly using this feature.
  • Subject line generator: I like using the recommended subject lines. I'm able to plug in their recommended ideas, or sometimes, this feature helps me generate my own ideas.
  • Reporting: sometimes, IT departments automatically open and click on all the links in emails, and those are sometimes reported as real opens and clicks. It's hard to tell.
  • Email builder: we use different software for creating emails, and then export them over to Constant Contact. There isn't a plethora of options and flexibility within their email builder.
  • Importing lists: it would be beneficial to us if we could somehow export from our Salesforce lists directly to Constant Contact. Instead, we need to export from Salesforce to Excel, and then import to Constant Contact.
  • Better targeting specific markets: with their segmentation tool, we can get our message out to the right people.
  • Website growth: we are able to funnel people to specific pages on our website that we want to highlight.
  • Updating database: the Bounces list allows me to see which contacts are not up to date. Knowing this, lets me update our database, so we aren't reaching out to people who are no longer viable.
We use BEE Pro to create our emails; we like their email builder. However, when sending emails, Constant Contact is much better. They allow more emails to be sent out at once and let us store more contacts within the program. Constant Contact has greater flexibility and variety when it comes to sending emails and creating campaigns.

Do you think Constant Contact delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Constant Contact's feature set?

Yes

Did Constant Contact live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Constant Contact go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Constant Contact again?

Yes

Constant Contact is great when trying to target specific market segments. We typically like to segment our master list by region, but also have product segments, as well. They do provide pre-made segments to start you off too.

We don't usually use their email builder, we find others to be more flexible, intuitive, and have more variety. We do prefer emailing from Constant Contact, however.
