Overall Satisfaction with ContractZen
Like most organizations, we had several old, long-term contract, NDAs, proposals etc. stored on shared, protected network. This was unstructured data. Each time we wanted to know when a contract was ending, we had to open the contract. This led to us creating a spreadsheet. We thought there had to be a better way for us to get alerts when contracts are expiring and to store amendments to contracts in one spot. We reviewed several software and chose ContractZen. We migrated all of our contracts into ContractZen within a couple hours and are getting alerts as we desired. It's a cloud-based product, so no installation is needed. ContractZen is being used by Finance, IT and Legal staff right now and we are very pleased with it. ContractZen does full text search on PDFs and metadata we type in ContractZen, which makes searching for certain words a breeze.
- Right features for SMB.
- Affordable.
- Easy to use.
- Low maintenance as it is cloud-based.
- No contract lifecycle management.
- Governance may not be adequate for large organizations.
- Sign-in with SSO or without SSO can be improved; it's a bit confusing for new users.
- Efficiency of contract management improved.
- ContractZen reduced fear of contract management system.
- We are adequately prepared way ahead of contract expiration time.
- Conga Contracts (formerly Novatus), Berkman Lextree, Contract Logix, Conterra Contract Management and PandaDoc
The barrier of entry with ContractZen was so low. Competition offered a paid proof-of-concept, multiple sales call, and pre-sales analysis for which we had no time and had low interest. ContractZen gave us a demo in 30 minutes, gave me an account and walked me through the product. The cost was significantly lower. Yes, features were fewer in ContractZen but the features were the right ones we needed. Security of the system was adequate and it was cloud-based, which meant we didn't have to maintain servers on premise. Onboarding was easy and describing the system to others to get buy-in was exceptionally easy.
