Overall Satisfaction with Cornerstone OnDemand

Cornerstone OnDemand is used in HR but all employees access it for Performance Management. I use it solely for Recruiting and Hiring Managers also use the recruiting feature.
  • Sorry, [I feel] I honestly can't find something they do "particularly well".
  • All of their recruiting features are "hard to use" - the steps to follow are cumbersome, clunky, frustrating...beginning with setting up processes, to using the features, to providing feedback.
  • [I feel like it is] missing functionality: there's a lot to list, but let me start off with a few: cannot sort candidates alphabetically; cannot automatically allow managers access to "manage candidate" view; cannot integrate emails with Outlook; cannot adjust offer letter template to match the flow for data entry; cannot just search for open reqs without manually adjusting date range; cannot run "standard" recruiting reports to capture YTD open reqs, closed reqs with names of candidates who filled roles with their start dates; cannot easily run a report that shows candidates by demographics by interview funnel...
  • [I feel that] the MOST frustrating aspect of Cornerstone OnDemand is the process to address problems. As a user, I cannot just call a help desk, I must either work through my administrator OR sign up for a weekly one hour session, but ONLY IF, you first demonstrate that you a) have taken training or b) have used the help feature. THEN you log in and are placed in a queue, where you can see / hear each and every problem that other clients have AND they can hear yours. You are allowed to ask ONE question, and then you are returned to the queue to wait again. When you are given an answer, links are dropped in the chat, but without clear instructions on how to proceed. So [I feel] EVERY SINGLE ISSUE takes so long to resolve.
  • standardized simple recruiting process infrastructure
  • ability to communicate easily / effectively with hiring manager / interview team
  • ability to communicate easily / effectively with candidates
  • ability to run reports as needed to track progress, diversity, etc.
I wasn't part of the decision, and they didn't have anyone with a recruiting background when they evaluated the system. I don't believe Cornerstone OnDemand EVER would have been selected if there were Subject Matter Experts (Recruiting, Learning, Performance Management) as part of the decision making team.
I wish I could assign a "0"...[I feel like] their configurability is laughable. It's as if they are stuck in the 90's with how they set up / implemented their Recruiting system. Any change is incredibly complex. [I feel like] you have to make adjustments in several different parts of the Recruiting features to make ANY change: such as updating the application; adding a logo to Offer letters; adding prescreen questions; updating the recruiting funnel statuses...
It seems to me that Cornerstone OnDemand is suited for large bureaucracies that have not been exposed to current technology, so they don't know how many features are lacking or how far behind they are with their user interface.

I'm not sure I can add more, but [I feel like] Cornerstone OnDemand [is] a system that has been cobbled together badly, so every single change requires an abundance of steps and "touches" to different parts of the system. I wish you allowed me to rate them "0".

Cornerstone OnDemand Support

I included this information in my overall review, but I thought ADP was THE vendor to highlight for their bad customer service. [I feel] Cornerstone OnDemand goes above and beyond (or should I say down and below) anything ADP had set up for customer support: Only certain people can call / email directly if there are issues, so you must play "telephone" a bit to get your issue defined clearly; you can sign up for a weekly "office hours" session, but you must queue up and then listen to other customers as they try to resolve their issues; you can submit recommendations, but you NEVER hear back or your recommendation is just dismissed.
ProsCons
Kept well informed
Slow Resolution
Poor followup
Less knowledgeable
Problems left unsolved
Escalation required
Difficult to get immediate help
Need to explain problems multiple times
Support doesn't seem to care
Slow Initial Response
I have no idea. I sure [hope] this is not the "premium" version!!!
Yes - [I feel] it is rare for Cornerstone OnDemand to admit there is a bug, but they seem to be more receptive to hearing about issues that may be a bug.
