Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management

We use it across the organization for event registration only. We hope to use other options like budgeting, travel, calendar management, SMM, hotel management, etc. but have not been able to so far. We have about 70 users globally with most being in the US. Their new interface 'flex' has really enabled us to onboard a broader user group than we would have been in their 'classic' interface. The drag and drop interface also applies to their email designer which is a nice feature.

No technical knowledge needed in order to use it or feel comfortable. Their new 'flex' interface allows people to pick up the tool relatively quickly and doesn't require someone to use the tool constantly to know what they are doing—if they don't use it for a few months, it's not an issue. The integrations offered with the CrowdCompass app have been a huge benefit to us.
Their customer service phone line is pretty lacking—sometimes you just have to hang up and call back to get someone on the phone who knows what you are trying to get help with. They do provide your account with a number of staff to help ensure you are maximizing the value of your account.
We used to use Certain which was awful. We had a very hard time launching it beyond a concentrated group of users who were in the tool all of the time. Even then, we had major issues. Cvent offers a much more streamlined approach wherein a lot of cases, they provide the 'best way' and you can make changes to that as needed.
We use it across our entire organization and have launched hundreds of events. Users are able to work independently in the system with the occasional need for help or work in tandem with colleagues if they are only occasional users. The tools offers a lot of reporting capabilities that have a variety of security options. It is easy and quick enough to setup an event that is only anticipating 15-0 registrations but robust enough to setup an event expecting thousands.
