Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management

We use Cvent's Event Management for managing our yearly internal conference. It's primarily used by me in our department, but reports are able to be access by non-Cvent users, which increases visibility into the event management process. It has tremendously streamlined our registration, mobile app, and onsite check-in/badge printing - and this year, we're planning to work with a few integrations that will allow us to fold travel and hotel stays into the process as well, giving us more consolidation of relevant information.
  • Session organization.
  • Mobile app integration.
  • Attendee track personalization.
  • UI is lacking.
  • Learning curve.
  • Pricing.
  • Session Groups
  • Advanced Rules
  • Registration Types
  • Admission Items
  • Allows us to get attendees to the same place at the same time.
  • Gives us more time to focus on the conference experience, not spreadsheets.
  • ROI can be difficult to prove for an internal conference.
My first year, we used Google Forms to collect attendee information, which was a painful process. Cvent Event Management took the entire process to the 21st century. The automation features and ease of end-user use played a large factor in our using their product. Plus, our attendees prefer this registration experience to any others we've used in the past.

Do you think Cvent Event Management delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cvent Event Management's feature set?

Yes

Did Cvent Event Management live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Cvent Event Management go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Cvent Event Management again?

Yes

For us, it's perfect because it's an end-to-end platform. From venue sourcing to reports and ROI, Cvent allows us to do everything we want to set up the conference our attendees want. We've not yet tried it on a smaller scale (like with our regional holiday parties), but I imagine it'd work just as well. In my experience, it's just been more well-suited for larger events.

Using Cvent Event Management

1 - I represent the registration experience, mobile app, and event website teams that make up part of our conference committee. I work with event planners, trainers, designers, and internal communicators to get anything Cvent-related off the ground.
1 - Anyone can support Cvent Event Management; no particular background is necessary. You will need to be willing to learn the platform and willing to reach out to your Cvent team for questions and support as needed for bringing your event to life. Meticulous, dedicated, and hard-working folks will be able to master Cvent in no time.
  • Annual Conference
  • Holiday Parties
  • Philanthropic Efforts
  • Self-development sessions at our conference
  • Integration with Concur for travel
  • Integration with Passkey so no more rooming lists!
  • Additional meetings
It's the most fully encompassed, end-to-end event management platform we have been able to find. From sourcing to surveys, RFPs and ROI, Cvent really does do it all. Best of all, you get to pick what products you need, so you won't need to pay for anything you won't use.

Using Cvent Event Management

Cvent is incredibly robust and can do so much, but learning to use the program can take a bit. It becomes intuitive as you learn the system, but getting started can come with a decent learning curve. Cvent offsets this by offering free trainings on their platform, but it would be nice to be able to hit the ground running instead of needing to learn the ins and outs of the system.
