Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management

We use Cvent Event Management for our annual in-person event and virtual master classes. It helps us with collecting registrations, and revenue, updating event information, email reminders, and surveys after the event take place. Our company requires a platform that hosts every aspect of the events we host from preplanning the agenda to invitations, to registration launches, to post-mortem feedback opportunities.
  • Clear display of agenda items
  • Easy-to-use attendee reporting
  • Quick weblink customization for marketing analytics
  • It's really difficult to know if an attendee actually showed up to the session
  • Subsequent surveys that are contingent upon attending the event are not possible. Only surveys to the general attendee list are possible (so you don't ever know if they attended)
  • Exporting reports or agenda items is not easy or sometimes possible.
  • The agenda builder / editor is very tedious and not as user friendly to an inexperienced user.
  • Registration portal
  • Revenue reporting
  • Attendee reporting
  • Marketing weblinks
  • Discount codes
  • It saves us time when collecting registrations
  • We can literally see the metrics of registrations and revenue upon logging in
  • It also saves us time when we need to follow up or send out invitations on a schedule

Yes

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Yes

Would you buy Cvent Event Management again?

Yes

If you have an event with lots of attendees and are not issuing rigorous CE credit certificates then this will pretty much do everything you need it to do. However, if you have a lot of sessions over a period of a few days, the prepping of the agenda items is a long-winded process. The system is not as robust as it could be for events that require tweaking and tailoring. For example, you cannot copy and paste course descriptions without experiencing heavy code embedded in the syntax box. You have to copy/paste it into a notepad to erase the coding and only obtain the text. So, if your event shifts courses around or things need adjusting, this process takes much longer than it should. If you have a dedicated Cvent person on your team, this process shouldn't be an issue. Our team does not, so we have to constantly test and test and test our events before we launch.
