Overall Satisfaction with D&B Finance Analytics

We use D&B Finance Analytics as part of our credit underwriting process.
  • Identify customer legal entity and key people
  • List any legal proceedings involved
  • Provides vendor credit & payment history
  • The initial rating (example: 1R4) is not helpful. The metrics behind this code don't help underwrite any of our decisions on the given customer.
  • Provide backup/background on ratings & scores; such as Moderate risk based on.
  • It has helped to minimize our credit risk exposure.
We do not use these features from D&B Finance Analytics.
Once new users are trained to select reports, it is very easy to use. The system is more intuitive and user-friendly. The reports are well laid out, and the information is presented clearly and is easy to understand.
We have evaluated other similar products/services from competitors. The information provided by D&B Finance Analytics seems to be more comprehensive than others, but D&B Finance Analytics is far more expensive. The cost is our primary reason for evaluating the competitors.
The support we have experienced is very good whenever we have needed it. Investigations and necessary corrections are well done. Our experience is that the process seems slow. Additional explanation or supporting info on ratings and scores would be an improvement.

Newer companies and organizations typically have reports with less information, making them less helpful for decision-making. I find that the more information contained in a report, generally the more accurate that information is.
