Overall Satisfaction with Datto Alto

Datto Alto is the main onsite / cloud backup solution that we offer our customers. We had used other cloud / onsite solutions in the past but found that Datto was the easiest to implement for our customers and offered us the best support. We currently have over 30 customers that use Datto Alto for their onsite / cloud backup of data.
  • offsite data backup
  • restoration of data
  • backup verification
  • local backup size limitations
  • Backup reports
  • User Interface is intuitive and easy to use
  • We are able to offer our customers a relatively inexpensive offsite data storage option that can also act as a stop-gap if they were to have major hardware failures
  • we have not had any negative impacts from Datto
  • The ease of installation/setup of Datto Alto has enabled us to mail out the device to a customer and have them plug it into their network to save us time delivering and setting up if the customer was a long distance from us.
Datto cloud backup reporting, user interface, and overall functionality are so much better than Avast Cloud Backup that it can barely be a comparison. We had an issue with Avast Cloud Backup that reporting wasn't working correctly, and while it looked like someone's data was backing up it was actually failing and a customer of ours lost some important data. We have not had this issue with Datto Alto

Datto Alto has been best suited for our customers who do not have an extremely large amount of data (Less than 2TB). We have had issues with customers that had limitations to how useful the cloud option was based on their internet speed (Rural)
