Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

Scheduling and payroll for the whole organization - allows for easy access to the daily schedule from any location and a quick review of hours worked/overtime/days off.
  • Easy-to-read schedule.
  • ability to see if someone is available when making the schedule.
  • Ability to see where someone clocked in or out.
  • Ability to see how much someone has worked in a given period of time.
  • Ability to see overtime and overall payroll costs.
  • Integration with ADP changed, causing a lot of payroll headaches.
  • Qualifications do not automatically update on prebuilt schedules, so it looks like someone is unable to work a shift when actually they can.
  • Not enough flexibility with access levels for different types of employees.
  • With a weaker internet connection, lag times and refreshes can make working in the system extremely difficult.
  • There needs to be a "restore" function in the event someone inadvertently deletes a 100+ employee schedule.
  • Improved employee buy-in with scheduling.
  • Improved accuracy with scheduling.
  • Improved hours tracking.
The big difference was the ability to push out schedule changes to the staff so that they could easily know when a new schedule had been published or an existing schedule had changed. Holding staff accountable to checking their schedule became infinitely easier.

Has some really great end-user features needs to improve some of the admin-level features and especially fix its payroll integration changes.
It was a bit bumpy, and when we ran into issues we could not always get great answers from their support some of our issues took several months (and maybe in one case over a year) to get resolved but they did build us some custom functionality to work with some of our unique business needs.
Great for a large, spread-out workforce that needs to be able to access their schedule digitally and clock in from various locations especially great for organizations where managers may be at a different location but still need to hold onsite managers and staff accountable, not great for organizations with weak or no internet or phone signal not great at integrating with other payroll processing systems.
