Overall Satisfaction with Deputy
We have attempted to use it with all employees. However some employees are unable to function using their personal cell phones and have different issues using the app. It was meant to address issues we were having with our previous software but actually turned out to create a whole new spectrum of issues.
Pros
- Selling their product.
- The trial period.
- Sales.
Cons
- Continued location tracking.
- Allowing employees to see shift notes while clocked in - they currently disappear completely.
- Easier ways to organize locations and areas.
- Scheduling should not be so difficult across a large team. Shifts should be able to copy and paste easier and templates should be easier to function within.
- Checklists should function better and templates easier to create and attach.
- Notifications need improvement.
We moved from TSheets before they merged with QuickBooks because it was not user friendly. When I did the demo, Deputy seemed like a much more user friendly option, especially from the app however it was just more visually appealing and in fact was not as helpful as Tsheets. [In my experience] system issues were across the board and functionality was underdeveloped.
