Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We use Deputy across the whole organization. Deputy enables us to schedule our teams easily and across multiple buildings/locations. We are also able to have staff members request time off and leave through the app, as well as clock in and out. We send communications via the Deputy Newsfeed and often utilize the feature that requires message confirmation to ensure that everyone is up to date on protocol changes or HR announcements.

Deputy had more customizations and was easier to use than TSheets. It better suited us because it also had the Newsfeed feature, which T Sheets did not. We have found the Deputy Newsfeed to be invaluable and the main method we use for communicating team wide. TSheets didn't have the capabilities we needed for multiple sites and didn't exceed Deputy's features.

Deputy is incredibly intuitive and the app is really user friendly. We have a wide range of staff in ages and backgrounds and tech comfort level. Despite that, all of our team members have been able to use the app to request time off, plan their schedules, communicate with managers and team members, and clock in and out. They are able to easily view their time sheets and submit corrections as needed as well. The website version is great too! The folks who don't have space for the app on their personal devices have been able to easily use alternatives since all features are also available on their website version or iPad Kiosk.
Deputy was easy to implement. They have made MANY improvements since we onboarded about 5 years ago. I don't know that my specific experience would be the same now, but it was easy the team did not have difficulty adjusting to using the program when we transitioned over.
Deputy is great for small business management. It helps team members know when they are working and communicate with them effectively. It's great for businesses that have hourly employees. It would be less effective in an environment where staff were mostly exempt employees who do not have to clock in and out. It would still be helpful for scheduling and announcements/communications with the staff, however.
