Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We use Deputy for time management and scheduling. It allows us to have employees clock in and out for breaks. Deputy also shows you where your employees are when clocking in and out. When using it for scheduling I can enter the job address. Our employees can clock in and out and get jobsite information through the Deputy app on their phone.
  • Easy to learn and use.
  • Deputy offers and app as well as desktop login.
  • I love being able to approve timecards and print reports so easily. It cuts down my payroll processing time in half.
  • When exporting timesheets it is not always easy to see where you are supposed to click to export. Using different coloring on that tab would be helpful.
  • We have our time entry set to rounded time. However, on occasion it will still give us a direct time and we have to manually fix it.
  • When viewing a day on a timesheet you have to click between tabs to see clock in information then click to another tab to see comments. It would be nice to see it all in one area.
  • Time saved in auditing timecards.
  • Payroll accuracy has improved since timecards can be exported directly.
I have used several other time track programs. I picked Deputy because it is user friendly on the field side and office side. My employees love the app. They submit their time daily instead of at the end of the week. Which helps process payroll faster and catch overtime and errors quickly.

Deputy is very user friendly. The app is easy to navigate. I have not had a single employee who has needed help with their timecard or submitting time.
Deputy helped improve getting through our audits with the state. The state inspector preferred seeing the time entered and break times directly from the employees.
I spent a lot of time contacting employees to make sure they were taking breaks and documenting it when we had paper timecards. After switching to Deputy the breaks are part of their clock in and out options. They can even add notes if the break was long or short. This has made a huge difference when auditing. And cutting down on time spent fixing timecards.
