Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We use Deputy to do our rosters weekly, record timesheets to pay people, and manage leave. Deputy currently is being used by all organizations. Deputy helps us to streamline our rosters and pay people effortless it is really a good system for us that allows having full control of our labour expenses. Onboarding is also very handy as there is no need for paperwork or print files to get filled by hand. Each worker can see their hours and see they leave balance. Recommended 100%.

  • Rostering is brilliant and easy.
  • On boarding employees is easy.
  • Connection with third party cloud apps for example Xero can be better.
  • Allow for custom award systems.
  • Customize user access is required.
  • Time saving in payroll.
  • Time saving in wrong payments over or under paying people.
  • Data is only entered once, again this is a timesaver.
Deputy is way better specifically to manage people and rosters. Xero does not have this functionality at this level.

Deputy is a cloud base solution and also you can run the app on your phone. Example if you want to approve leave you will get an app msg then on 2 swipes you can approve leave and see details. Really handy.
Implementation is straightforward, input your areas and departments then list the people and start onboarding everyone. I recommend getting help from Deputy or a 3rd party advisor if you don't have much knowledge in software.
Deputy is very good where you need to roster your staff so they know what they will do during the week. Is very good to manage your costs as tells you how much money you are spending in labour pretty much live. Very good at onboarding and also if you are in Australia has all the award systems already built in, there is not a need to interpret anything here. recommended for mid-size business looking to streamline HR and make everything very lean.
