Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

Deputy is what we use in all four areas of our business to manage rosters, leave, payroll, and live site attendance. Its flexibility for ‘click on/off’ from any location is very important to our business.

  • Employees need to be able to request leave/unavailability when they have already been rostered
  • Employees want to be able to request an adjustment to leave after it has been approved
  • Deputy server speed sometimes very slow and lots of wait time accessing
  • Recently there is a scrolling issue happening when trying to select an employees name for a shift (just keeps scrolling so can’t select the name)
  • Significant time saving on rostering with templates and the ability to copy forward
  • Leave management saves a lot of rostering errors and puts [the] responsibility back on employees to apply for leave
  • Management of individual hours per roster week is made easy with sidebar totals
  • Short notice roster replacements made simple with specific employees linked to certain locations

I trialed Deputy and was able to use it immediately without any training. It is very intuitive. Over time I have gradually learned more features of Deputy and increased my knowledge of its capabilities. Overall it saves me a lot of time in payroll and roster management.
There was no implementation process, I just started to use it.
