Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Docuware is being used to document and track our purchasing workflows. The approval process was the main reason we implemented Docuware. We needed a means of tracking who was approving expenditures.

Pros and Cons

Workflow management is fairly intuitive.
Basic document management functions are handled well.
Easy to administrate.

No active directory integration, this doubles up user management.
No Outlook integration. Would be nice to be able to interact with Docuware from email.
No mobile application. We have many remote users that would benefit from this.

Return on Investment

Purchasing approval control and monitoring. Allows us to keep tighter hold of the budget.
Had to spend considerably more than expected. We needed to hire a developer to build integrations.

Other Software Used

IFS Applications, Oracle Service Cloud, Salesforce Analytics Cloud

A small business in need of document management would be able to get by with Docuware. A large business would be better off spending the money for something more advanced that integrates with enterprise software.

Support Rating

Support seems eager to help but often unable to do so. Anything outside of the norm is unsupported.
