Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Currently, we are using Domo in our Operations and Marketing Departments. We are using this for reporting and trending with operational and financial numbers. It helps us get quick reporting and overview of our franchises' business health. It helps in bringing in POS data and QuickBooks accounting data to one location.

Pros and Cons

Dashboard displays
Multiple, flexible ways of doing the same thing
Great response to users and basing future development on user feedback
Powerful nimbleness in adjusting what data Domo is displaying by user

Need to develop a Beast mode developer so they can be managed outside of card development
ETLs need to be a bit simpler to use
I'd like to be able to filter off the same field twice (ie, store # > 100 AND store # 2, 4, & 6)

Return on Investment

Our business coaches get quick access to KPIs and coach stores very well
Gross Profit Margin has improved greatly

Usability

Its really powerful and robust with a pretty steep learning curve.

Pre-Sale Experience

Very helpful sales rep, but not sure if I had a typical experience. Gave me a generous time frame to develop a proof of concept.

Implementation Rating

We had poor consultants help us with the initial implementation. Sadly, they were highly promoted as a preferred partner by Domo. So it was slower than originally planned, and much of the work had to be re-done.

Alternatives Considered

Tableau Online, Dynatrace and Microsoft Power BI

Domo is the best valued product on the market that what you get is so much beyond what you pay for. There are other powerful tools but more expensive.

Likelihood to Recommend

Domo is great for mid-sized to large companies with a team of people dedicated to developing and managing it. It's not great for small teams or 1 person development teams. The tool is too powerful and robust for a small implementation team.
