Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

We used Dropbox across our small, mostly distributed company. We travel to clients quite a bit, so it has been a great way to keep all our files in the same place and to access information/documents on the go. We have organized Dropbox and have a standard for folder naming.
  • Desktop application and mobile application all sync.
  • Offline use.
  • Team folders.
  • More security - healthcare clients do not seem trust it.
  • Better browser dashboard.
  • Not losing information when/if an employee leaves the company.
  • Time saved in asking colleagues for documents they saved on their desktops.
  • Organization of files.
Very easy to use tool. No real issues in getting team up to speed. Every now and then we'd have an issue because some of users are PC and some of Mac. But, Dropbox staff helped us resolve these issues pretty quickly.
Any time we reached out to support they answered us and helped us resolve things. I did not give a 10 because often the issue needed to be addressed immediately, but it would take 1-2 days to hear back from the support team. It would be better to have quicker answers or a dedicated rep to call instead of a call center or entering in a ticket.
Both tools are very good. ShareFile has more security, but Dropbox is more user-friendly. We actually have been back and forth on which platform to use. Many of us use Dropbox personally, but understand the business value add of ShareFile with healthcare clients.
Great for easy access to files and to share information. Not as great if you're wanting to share or gather information from healthcare or government entities that may be concerned with security. We have found that often Dropbox emails will go to client's spam accounts because it is not seen as secure by those IT departments.
