Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

Dropbox is used in my company for storing backups of accounting documents which are small files, and for temporarily transferring larger graphic files for use by other team members. It is very helpful to use the website as well, when I have to access the same files on different PCs and while I'm not in office but in other places or countries (even on vacation).
  • Synchronization of the files is very good, no errors throughout the years and no lost files.
  • Information about estimated time left when synchronizing.
  • Years of experience gives Dropbox a lot of trust, they had to resolve lots of issues and I didn't notice any major ones, I feel that my files are safe.
  • Easy to use, drag and drop, some other companies don't have such UI.
  • I could see that website file management could be done differently, maybe like usual windows folder, instead of clicks.
  • I feel like Dropbox is falling behind on how much free space is offered for new users.
  • I would love to see more features with the size packages, so it would be more convincing to buy them.
  • A lot of time saved when file transfer are needed.
  • Easy to use for new team members.
  • Can be installed easily by remote workers from foreign countries.
I also use Google Drive, Zoolz and Adobe Creative Cloud for file storage.

Zoolz and Adobe cloud storage do not have an interface that is easy to use, they are a bit complicated to handle but they have cheap storage. It's convenient that Adobe offers storage with the software packages.

Google Drive offers good prices and I use it for very large files, but sometimes file synchronization gets messy, while on Dropbox nothing like that happens.
I don't remember contacting support because I just never had any major problems with them. I rate it high because when I needed information I could easily find it online on their website.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

I like having shared folders with different team members and just simply say to them to drop them into my dropbox, quick and easy, nothing to add. I also love the ability to just right click a folder or file and copy a link to it, to share it with people who do not have it installed.
I don't think it should be used for very large files as the disk space is very expensive.
