Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Dropbox to send clients data large files that are too large to email. This solves the problem of having to set each user up with their own FTP account for having different clients see each other's files.

Pros and Cons

Send client files.
Store files in the cloud for access anywhere.
It allows users to send me large files.

Larger free file storage.
Make it easier for me to send clients a way to send us files.

Dropbox has allowed our organization to save money on cloud file storage.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Office 2016

I find that Dropbox is a much easier product to use when sending a client a file, although I find one drive easier to use when I need a client to send me a file.

Dropbox is great for sending clients links to download large files. It is also great for storing files in the cloud for access from anywhere. Dropbox is so easy to use, it appears as a folder on your computer and you just copy a file to the Dropbox folder and right click on the file and then select the copy link tab. You then can paste that link in an email so the user can easily download the file.
