Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Druva Data Resiliency Cloud to backup multiple workloads across different devices, servers and Endpoints. We use both Insync and Phoenix extensively to fulfill our backup and cloud protection needs, Druva Data Resiliency Cloud does a fantastic job of solving the issues of not needing hardware on the premises or any extra manpower. We're really happy with it.

Pros and Cons

The immutability of the backups is excellent and keeps our mind at ease.
The backup policies are super easy to implement and manage.
The Support is present 24/7 to address all our issues.

It could add some functionalities for additional flavors of AWS and Linux.
Sometimes the Support team takes slightly longer to resolve the ticket.
The pricing for some services could be slightly better.

Return on Investment

Our time savings of managing our infra have been substantial thanks to Druva.
With the cloud model and AWS back end we can be assured of top level uptime capabilities.
Our backup policies are very smoothly set and executed, there's a lot of flexibility there as well.

Druva inSync Support for SaaS Apps and Endpoints

For our cloud apps protection we use Druva Data Resiliency Cloud primarily for Exchange Online, Sharepoint and Teams. Druva Data Resiliency Cloud backs up a huge portion of the Microsoft Office content, including the shared resources and deleted items. Their restore is also pretty quick and happens in a reasonable time and with using the minimum bandwith even during office hours.

Scalability

The solution is completely scalable and has handled all the data growth in a stable manner without any downtime or interruptions. We've also been informed that any further scalability needs should also be met without any hassles. Any deletion of servers or reduction of data is also managed pretty smoothly and reflects immediately on the GUI.

Alternatives Considered

Veeam Backup & Replication and Carbonite Endpoint

Along with Druva Data Resiliency Cloud- during our selection procedure we also evaluated Veeam and Carbonite. While all seem to be good solutions- Druva Data Resiliency Cloud went far and beyond to make sure that our free trial was excellent and the features that we had wanted were showcased and the proof of concept was a success. So overall given the pricing and the features- Druva Data Resiliency Cloud ended up being the automatic choice.

Druva Data Resiliency Cloud is excellent for managing especially Cloud Apps, Legal Holds and other Compliance-related functionalities. It also does an excellent job of making sure that the entire backup goes on the cloud without needing any local servers or contingencies. It also provides protection in cases of Ransomware and any similar threats to the backup landscape.
