Overall Satisfaction with Druva Data Resiliency Cloud

We are a large organization with a need to protect critical and non-critical data. Going to Druva cloud we found it much easier to manage as well as see all our backup jobs and job statuses. Test restores have been successful and restore speed has been as fast or faster than our previous on-prem backup solution.
  • The Amazon Glacier for long term retention is safe and cheap.
  • Deduplication is super helpful in terms of saving credits for Phoenix.
  • Great single pane of glass for our o365 (in Sync) and infrastructure (Phoenix) backups.
  • Some more flavors of Azure and NetApp could be added to the offering.
  • Auto enrollment of new Hyper-V VMs into Druva.
  • The pricing is slightly higher than some competitors.
  • We will save some money going with Druva compared to an on-prem backup, since there will be no appliance or infrastructure that we'll have to manage.
  • Druva backups go through multiple layers of protection preventing ransomware-like attacks as much as possible.
  • The quick and easy data restores make the admins' life easier giving us time to take care of other projects.
We use Druva to backup our Office 365 suite, this includes Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Druva has handled this effectively, so far no issues with backups.
As a large educational institution we consistently scale up or down depending on our enrollment numbers. With Druva, compared to onsite backup, we have the ability to buy more credits if needed or reduce our credit purchase if we anticipate a lower enrollment. We have not seen any slowness in either the backups or the restores. So we can vouch for the scalability of the solution.
Among the 3 choices Druva was 1) the most cost efficient and 2) easiest to implement and dive into. In terms of speed, Druva has proved to be faster with backups and restores compared to the others. Backup and restore speeds are faster with Druva than compared to our old onsite backup system that Druva has replaced.

Do you think Druva Data Resiliency Cloud delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Druva Data Resiliency Cloud's feature set?

Yes

Did Druva Data Resiliency Cloud live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Druva Data Resiliency Cloud go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Druva Data Resiliency Cloud again?

Yes

Druva is a good fit for scenarios where the IT team does not need to be very hands-on with the backup. Once you setup the backup policies the console pretty much manages itself. We also like the fact that the end user's work is not disrupted in any way when it comes to Druva client doing its job in the background. A future feature we'd like that Druva currently does not have would be auto enrollment of VMs when they are created within Hyper-V. Currently Druva has this option for other hypervisors.
