Overall Satisfaction with Druva inSync

It is used for laptop backup in all the country (Italy) for every machine, it gives business continuity to our data letting us restore the wrongly erased folder and also offers restore possibility if the HD or SSD fails. Also if the device has been stolen the data could be recovered.

  • All manageable from the cloud.druva.com via dashboard
  • Great and detailed log that helps you solve the possible issue
  • Sometimes the connection with Druva Cloud fails and the user keeps receiving an alert (sometimes is very annoying)
  • We saved at least 1 veeam and tons of disk space for backup going from local to cloud
  • Cloud is totally useful and more fluid solution than the local backup
  • We haven't anymore a SPOF where the exsi of the VM was created
We don't protect any cloud app with Druva inSync
It's easier than just that, we simply don't backup the non compliant user data, we can filter them out from the backup (ex: video)
We use McAfee DXL/TIE and ENS10 and we haven't the need to use also Druva InSync to manage these kind of activities.
Easy to use, requires little time to manage it, just for setup the environment in the beginning and the new user add.
Always quick to answer and very kind, they keep helping until the problem is solved, the don't hesitate to scale the level if needed.
We used the previous version of Druva installed in a virtualized server, the changes done with this version are huge, we don't need anymore to allocate resources for a machine and we are free to use them somewhere else.
Veeam Backup & Replication

Suitable: When you have a good connection in your network in terms of bandwidth, you need to save a lot of data for each users, you need a system all manageable by the IT or the Users (require a bit of knowledge)

Less suitable: of course when you have poor connection and bandwidth, or you can't connect to the network/web.

Using Druva inSync

100 - Every field of the organization, from the IT Technician to the General Manager
3 - Network knowledge, basic helpdesk, proxy knowledge (what is it in the organization), AD knowledge (for the user credentials)
  • Druva needs configuration, proxy settings
  • Druva doesn't work, maximum space available exceeded.
  • No user in cloud.druva.com no configuration
  • Backup solution for user outside country.
  • Not yet discussed about it
As far as I know we have no reasons not to renew it.
