Overall Satisfaction with Druva Phoenix

We use Druva Phoenix to backup critical data on both Linux and Windows Servers for our organization. These servers provide a variety of uses from web servers, databases, financial packages, business analysis, and reporting. The issue we brought Druva Phoenix on to solve was we had local backups at our office and colocation, but they are only a five-minute walk from one another. If anything happened catastrophic in this location we would not have usable backups for business continuity. The ease of use with the Druva inSync product on the desktop side led us to give Druva Phoenix a try, and we're happy to be a customer of both products.
  • The global deduplication of data technology helps our data storage go 10x further than other solutions.
  • Easy to install and get your first backups going
  • Easy to restore previous versions of files
  • We haven't had trouble running the client on unsupported versions of CentOS, but we would like them to keep up as we won't sacrifice VM security because of the backup solution.
  • The cost of Druva Phoenix is negligible compared to the security of knowing if you're down. You have a way to recover quickly.
The product is great, but when I'm in the dashboard, I want to have all data present. If I'm tracing down why a file failed to copy in a backup, I need to sleuth through the logs on the system. Would prefer to send a command from the dashboard to pull logs up to the cloud so I can view them there. This would help with a number of backup administrators that do not have direct access to the systems in question.
Customer Support has always been very helpful when we have had a question about the product. Have not run into an issue where we are bounced around from tech to tech to answer a simple question like some other vendors I have worked with. Support is always happy to help you get the most out of the product and this is a big part of why we are happy to be Druva customers.
We have used Norton BackupExec and their spin-off company Veritas in the past. It was a great product, but we were limited to backing the data up onsite and between sites that we owned. Druva Phoenix takes care of the data for us and we don't spend any time keeping the system up to date now like we had to before.
Cloudflare, Zoom Phone, Pulse Connect Secure (SSL-VPN)
Durva Phoenix is well suited for the VMware platform and has great restore functionality during disaster recovery. We use a different VM platform so our disaster recovery has a longer timeline if there is a critical failure as we need to get a base OS loaded before we can restore the VM data to it. This is the tradeoff between an expensive VM platform and a near free VM platform.

Druva Phoenix is well suited to file version recovery if a previous data state is required by your employees or customers. Very quick to restore.
