Overall Satisfaction with Duo Security, now part of Cisco

Duo is used across our whole organization to provide a secure way to log into the platforms our organization uses. Using Duo helps ensure that only verified people within our organization are accessing sensitive information.
  • Duo's user interface is easy to use and navigate.
  • Duo integrates well with Android mobile devices and Dell computers.
  • My organization's information is more protected and secure because of using Duo.
  • Getting someone set up and trained to use DUO can be tedious.
  • I'd like new users, in particular, to learn more about the value that using DUO provides so they have the "why," especially when getting used to (any system like) DUO for the first time can be daunting.
  • Duo has provided all of our constituents, especially those in international contexts, to safely access a secure platform where we can all communicate freely, which has positively impacted our sense of community and sharing of knowledge across borders.
Once a user understands the purpose of a single sign-on service, I think Duo is easy to navigate. Providing users with the right expectations for how often they will need to take the necessary steps to log in is key to user satisfaction.
I am not privy to the details, but I know that our organization has successfully navigated at least one potential data breach, and I believe DUO was integral to recognizing the threat so that measures could be taken to protect our organization's information.
While I do not directly deal with Duo support, any questions that I have had for our Duo platform administrator have been answered quickly and with expertise.
I do not have a specific example, as I do not connect directly with Duo support.
If I have used other SSO products, they were integrated into other platforms, such as Gmail, so I do not know their product names. However, I think Duo is the most reliable and secure SSO I have experienced.
Duo seems to be the essential standard for providing a single sign-in service, especially when sensitive databases need to be secure. Using Duo with older populations or people who don't have a good internet connection is problematic.
