Overall Satisfaction with EMS Software

It is used to schedule conference room, meeting, ballrooms, wedding, academics... pretty much all aspects of the campus.
  • Scheduling of rooms.
  • Showing availability of rooms in building.
  • Ability to combine both scheduling and catering billing.
  • Working with other software. This is more of trying to find data to use in other systems.
  • Our current version (43) is terrible on virtual. We can make it work. Some days when it is not used it just does not work, or fails to work for some users.
  • It is much easier to do scheduling and changes on a computer than in multiple books.
  • It allows us to have multiple users schedule a room/area and not force them to call and wait for a central booker.
Software not listed as it was home grown. It failed in that it did not allow for easy coping to another event and billing was how the sales person felt not on standard pricings
I feel it can always be better. Having it tied to a specific OS and SQL version has always been a pain for IT. I understand, but if the campus has not adopted it, I am stuck until they do.

However, moving from the Pro version which was Access based, the SQL version has scaled well and size has not been a problem.
The thick client has been able to do what we need it to. VEMS, not so much. We are hoping that an upgrade will resolve this.
It is great for general schduling and catering.

It does not work for hotel/inn scheduling of rooms as would be desired.
