Overall Satisfaction with Encompass from Ellie Mae
Encompass is our primary mortgage origination system. We use Encompass across the whole department. One of the things we like to know is how many loans we have started, closed or even made into pre-quals. The reports feature of Encompass allow us to get the information we need and is very easy to use.
Pros
- Provide great support
- Provide excellent training opportunities
- Great learning and networking at experience
Cons
- Construction to perm is currently having to be manipulated to get to work, but the 17.1 release will fix that.
- I have noticed with the upcoming release that getting answers to some of my questions has taken a long time to receive. Some of the questions have been left unanswered.
- Fixing some of the outstanding issues myself and others have reported quicker if possible.
- Positive impact the ROI has been excellent from the man hours it takes to process loans, to the savings from going paperless.
- By running reports in the LOS we are able to see exactly where we could use improvements and where we should maintain market share.
- Lack of construction support pre 17.1 has made it more difficult since we have had to manipulate the system for our needs.
- Mortgagebot and EasyLender
Mortgagebot is used for our online frontend where Encompass is ultimately used. Encompass was a little behind with the online side of things. Whereas we were looking for something like you see or hear from Quicken Loans. But their upcoming release of consumer connect should put them up to speed or beyond for the front end.
