Overall Satisfaction with Encompass from Ellie Mae
I was involved in the initial roll out and development of Encompass. The platform was very easy to use and extremely customizable. It also provides excellent reporting and a holistic, as well as dialed in view of performance metrics. It is an organic product that can continually be customized to fit the needs of each department. The support from Ellie Mae is good too.
- From an Underwriting stand point, Ellie Mae helped us increase efficiencies by allowing customization of the forms that Underwriting would use.
- We were able to customize our efolders.
- Sometimes Ellie Mae is a little behind in updating forms, etc. Such as the 92900A. If printing from our FHA Management screen, it prints the old form, however when printing from the HUD 1003 Addendum, it prints the new form. It would be nice if current forms printed from all places.
- Milestones. I have worked at 2 companies who both use Ellie Mae Encompass and the Milestones seem to be a challenge for people to wrap their heads around. The company I worked at that I was involved in development for the company, they had a good grasp. The company I currently work at does not utilize the Milestones correctly so it's much more difficult.
- It has eliminated a lot of paper. Encompass has increase efficiencies in processing time and allowed tracking of a loan from beginning to end.
