Overall Satisfaction

We use this to report data from Ellucian Colleague. It is available across the organization although there are two departments that are the main users. It addresses many data access concerns that could not be accomplished without Informer or some other reporting tool. The satisfaction with the product was 100% until the latest version which has a bug that slows things down somewhat. I understand that a bug fix is in the works and due out very soon. Maybe we can get back to the feeling of 100% satisfaction after that patch is installed.
  • Between data mappings and javascript, we are able to access data and views truly well.
  • The system security is excellent because we can assign specific file rights to individual groups. Sometimes it is a pain because file security is so tight.
  • Ability to normalize data is quite helpful. Normalizing all data (apparently due to specific file mappings) would be greatly helpful. I have data now that needs to be run through Excel macros to complete the normalization.
  • Normalization
  • Easier security managament
  • Integrated javascript help
  • We have definitely benefitted from increased employee efficiency
  • We have seen benefit from allowing employees to execute their own reports
  • Crystal Reports
Greatly impressed with Informer and the capabilities that it provides. Definitely not impressed with the kludginess of Crystal Reports.
Statements so far indicate a high level of satisfaction. Nothing else to add.
