Overall Satisfaction with Carbonite EVault

As an IT services provider SunGard setup and supported eVault for multiple customers. It was setup and supported by my group, Availability Service, during my last year with SunGard. The product allowed us to provide an on-site and off-site backup solution for our customers which covered the most important applications (SQL / Exchange) and system types (Windows / Linux).
  • Initial training, setup, and configuration are all very well designed and easy to pick up.
  • Support was very responsive and helpful in all situations.
  • The product was much easier to use compared to other common backup solutions that were in use.
  • I really have no complaints.
  • The position I was in did not let me see the business impact very well but I know customers were pleased with the product and the level of service that eVault provided.
  • Tivoli,Netbackup,Cobian,Acronis,Bacula
eVault was fairly easy to learn and had a ton of readily available training when we got stated. Learning Tivoli and Netbackup was a much more daunting task and one that my team never really successfully made it through with our workload. However with eVault we were all able to evaluate the product and get up to speed very quickly. eVault's Support team helped considerably as well. They were able to answer questions that some of our team didn't catch on to during training and were always considerate of the extremely busy nature of our team.
Out of about 15 consumer level backup solutions and 3 professional level backup solutions I have used eVault was my favorite so far. I am in the process of getting my current company to switch to eVault from open source programs they are currently using.

Using Carbonite EVault

The company will continue to use eVault because it serves all of the backup requirements the company and our customers have.
