Overall Satisfaction with Eventbrite

I use Eventbrite to host and organize events for my company. Some of these events are free and some of the events I charge a fee to attend. I find it very helpful that I am able to copy events and duplicate them for future use since they are similar events that take place throughout the year. Having an organized system that allows me to collect attendee information and when appropriate attendee admission fees have been incredibly valuable for me and my team. Eventbrite gives me the flexibility to host as many or as few events as needed and their mobile organizer app means I do not have to be tied to my computer at all times.
  • I can host as many or as few events as needed without any upfront commitment or fee
  • I am able to collect important guest details at the time of registration by using customer questions
  • I am able to embed the Eventbrite checkout widget onto my company website so that attendees never have to leave my website in order to register for my events.
  • The onsite check in app is fast and easy so I can quickly welcome guests to my event and know they have registered and paid ahead of time, drastically cutting down on lines.
  • The reserved seating functionality is clunky and hard to use. It is not very flexible and has given me serious pains in the past for these specific types of events where I want guests to be able to pick a specific seat at a table for a gala.
  • The fees can be out of control for events that have a high ticket price. I rarely use Eventbrite for events that cost more than $100 because they charge entirely too much money.
  • Mobile check-in
  • Online registration w/ custom questions
  • credit card processing
  • Onsite event registration
  • I have been able to increase my reach of attendees by 30% by hosting my public events on Eventbrite, which has allowed me to reach a greater audience with no additional marketing spend.
  • I no longer need to hire a team to help me host and run events. With the Eventbrite platform, I can manage all aspects of my events by myself or with a handful of volunteers.
Eventbrite is very flexible and a great option for our smaller events and definitely our free events. Cvent however is the preferred tool for our larger events, that required custom apps, onsite badge printing, and many other conference features. The price Cvent charged and the value they delivered for these events were preferred. For smaller events that are free or inexpensive, Eventbrite is by far the preferred vendor.

Eventbrite is very user-friendly and such a great tool for free events or events that have a small ticket price. The ability to have a headcount of attendees ahead of time as well as streamline their check-in process using my iPhone and the Eventbrite app has been an absolute game-changer. For larger events or events that have a high ticket price, I cannot recommend Eventbrite due to their fee structure. Even after signing up for an annual contract, I still was experiencing very high Eventbrite fees that made it hard for me to justify the service. Even with the ability to pass the fees on to the attendees, I feel that their fees are too high.
