Overall Satisfaction with Everhour
We use Everhour to manage our software development. Currently, it is used only by the software development team. Previously we used VSTS to manage the development process, however, it is missing many key features and summaries which are useful to keep track of the effort spent against estimates and budgets. We tried many other time management software before moving to Everhour permanently, and we are very happy with the way it simplifies time tracking. I can now easily get a summary of the effort spent on features or projects, as well as track what the team has been working on.
- Transparency in effort spent and the ability to easily track the team activity gives the power to whoever is managing the effort to track effort against budget, and if a yellow or red alert must be raised.
- It is fairly easy to invoice customers, as efforts spent on features or projects can be easily viewed.
Most other time tracking apps comes bundled with project management features. Although this seems more budget-friendly, it also gives a half-cooked time tracking feature, as normally the apps focus more on the project management features which arguably are more complex. My recommendation is to use Everhour as your primary time tracking app, and integrate it with your favorite project management app.
