Exclaimer Feedback
Overall Satisfaction with Exclaimer
We use Exclaimer to apply email signatures to employee emails to maintain consistent branding and compliance.
Pros
- Fairly easy to use UI
- Works with Microsoft 365 Active Directory
- Allows rule customization for when signatures are added
Cons
- Exclaimer should allow users to hide AD fields when the field is empty. For example, not all users want their mobile phone number displayed. Rather than hide the mobile icon/row when there's no number, I have to create a whole separate email sig, without the icon/row. This complicates rules.
- Improved displaying more accurate company info. Prior to Exclaimer, some of my sales staff didn't update their email signatures... some displaying incorrect street addresses for our office.
- Improved legal compliance by granting control over email disclaimers - including links to our Privacy Policy - to the senior team.
- Made email signature management possible. Prior to Exclaimer, the senior team had to police correct email signatures, some times physically accessing individual users Outlook account to create/edit local email signatures. No one has time for that!
We haven't used these features yet. The survey/feedback links are an interesting idea but we haven't scoped out the benefit for the additional fees yet.
We're an insurance brokerage dealing with lots of customer personally identifiable information. Data security is a must. We've benefitted greatly from Exclaimers security measures... we wouldn't have implemented their service if data security was a concern.
Prior to Exclaimer, we previously used a similar product from CodeTwo. Code Two's user interface and rule set up interface was slightly better than Exclaimer but their customer support was non-existence. When an issue came up where email signatures were not being applied for some users, getting support was impossible. We spent too much time troubleshooting on our own. Our IT Services provider rec'd Exclaimer based on their experience with customer support.
