Overall Satisfaction with FileMaker Pro

We have used FileMaker Pro with our day to day operations in our business. It was used to track projects and integrated into some marketing functions of our business. It helped with organizing, accessing customer records and did some reporting. It would help us print directly from the database into Word format as well.
  • Easy to complete a mail merge inside the system, without having to download contacts and re-upload them. Very simple to print personalized post cards or emails to groups of clients at one time.
  • Lots of customization options, for reports, mail merge etc.
  • Easier to do online
  • Making it simple to format and changes
  • Very easy to use, once you knew how, it probably helped us increase our productivity by 15%
  • On the flip side, there could have been a lot of positives as well. For instance being cloud based would have been a big help, and email tracking as well.
  • WORK[etc]
I am now using WORKetc for my CRM, and there are more benefits to me and my business using this software than using FileMaker Pro.
WORK Etc Benefits: CloudBase, App, Email Response Update Project Automatically, Invoicing, Reports, Tags, Some quick add features
Work Etc. Cons: No mail merge, have to download data and re-upload into word or google docs, pricing goes up base on users
FileMarkerPro : Customizable, easy to mail merge to a group inside the data base, simple report building, One time software fee, no additional cost
FileMakerPro Cons: Not cloud base, Limited accounting, clunky sometimes to use.

It was difficult to navigate at first, however after time it became easier. The version I used did not have a cloud base application, this was a major downfall for us. It was very versatile in creating queries, and manipulating mail merge features. Being able to group data was very easy.
