Overall Satisfaction with FileZilla

I'm not sure if FileZilla is being used across the entire organization, but my team has been using it for years. We are currently using Filezilla for the secure file transfer protocol or SFTP. This is how we are able to transfer secure data from files on our computers to our payroll system (Ceridian). It can be a bit tedious, but it works.
  • File transfers.
  • We have a production and test database to transfer to.
  • It lets you know when your files error out.
  • Sometimes it can be tricky to find out where your file went.
  • Some transfers take longer than others.
  • The application crashes from time to time, causing you to have to start over.
  • It's saved us money on consulting fees, which can be at least $100/hr, since we learned how to do it on our own.
I have not tried any other files similar to FileZilla.
I have never had to use FileZilla's customer support, so I am unable to add a rating for it at this time.

We use FileZilla for data transfers that we cannot do directly in Ceridian or other applications. It is helpful in transferring data in and out of various systems, which helps to eliminate a lot of the manual work that we used to do.
